A mi me wosto el cd:D

Pleasantly Surprised

I've known of Eiza since her "Lola" days almost 3 years ago. While the show itself left a lot to be desired , Eiza had a certain spark that made me want to follow her career. So, I was curious when I found out that she decided to release a debut album of her "own" music. I'll admit, I expected it to be some poppy, unispired album churned out by her label, just like all the other telenovela turned singer "albums" (Anahi, Dulce Maria, to name a few.) I decided to put these reservations aside, and give Eiza a chance. It turns out, she actually crafted one delightful debut. I was really impressed with the quality of the songs, as well as her voice (which I admit, I was never a fan of during "Lola".) In my opinion, there are no "filler" tracks on this album. From start to finish, the album is light, positive, and refreshing. Don't go expecting a deep, progressive, "new" CD, for I fear, you'll be disappointed. Eiza's songs just make me feel happy, and are perfect for Sunday drives or road trips. The standout songs are:

Dilo de Una Vez: 4/5
Caminare: 5/5
Lo Que Ahora Soy: 5/5
Dulce Apriencia: 5/5

There were a few "Lola" sounding songs, such as 'Todavia', but I didn't mind too much. The last track, "Dentro" was written for Eiza's late father, and is very touching. The only song I skip is "La Vida En Blues", which I'm not too fond of. The album is filled with positvity on tracks like "Mi Destino Soy", a positive, upbeat anthem for young women to stand on their own feet. Eiza's vocals really shine on "Caminare", showing she's not just a one trick pop chick, but actually has vocal abilty. Although her voice lacks power on some songs, she has a pleasant tone overall(not shreeky or flat, like other "singers"), which made this album a pleasant listen from start to finish.

This debut marks a positive start in Ms. Gonzalez's career, and I'm eager to see what she'll come up next! Bravo, Eiza!
