Let the head wagging begin
This is a sweeping offering from Michael and the boys. The rebirth of the power trio but digging deep into fusion, blues and classical styles. A must have for every lover of lick-tacular phrasing and riff-tastic energy. Drummer and bassist know they have to keep up and do they. Punchy to delicate, Convergence is the Ragu to every guitarist tastes, it's in there. When I listen I just shake my head in stunned amazement.

Not since "Surfing With the Alien"
Not since Satriani's landmark "Surfing With the Alien" have I listened to a rock guitar album THIS many times. Dowdle manages the feat of melding intense virtuosity with catchy listenability. The oh-so-many "Wow, what was THAT?!" moments are the icing on the top of mature compositions that develop organically and effortlessly. Great melodies (Yo-Yo Recital), fresh harmonies (Big Big Sky), soulful touch, fat and rich tone...it's all here. A new benchmark in well-rounded, highly polished guitarist musicianship.
