Kruder & Dorfmeister's Conversions: A K&D Selection is the pair's first full-length DJ album, establishing their mastery of downtempo trip-hop mixes while sprinkling some organic, grooving drum'n'bass and techno for good measure.

Good, but not their best
This is their first album, I think, and it's fair, but they got better. Much better. Could you guys please get the K&D Sessions?

I definitely agree with past reviewers who've said not to compare this with anything else that K&D have done. It's a mix of atmospheric D&B from the mid to late nineties. That being said, I think it's an excellent mix! It has a couple great tracks from the Moving Shadow catalog (Dead Calm - "Searchin", PFM - "One and Only", Omni Trio - "Nu Birth of Cool"). It has an EXCELLENT track that John Graham made under the moniker "Skanna" before his more widely known progressive house work as "Quivver", and part of the trio "Tilt" (Skanna - "Find Me"). The mix is quality as well. You have to recognize this album for what it is ( a good drum & bass mix), and not compare it to Kruder & Dorfmeister's own productions. If you like atmospheric D&B, you can't really go wrong with this one.
