Album Review
With their third album, Cords, Synergy began to repeat some of their ideas without expanding them greatly. There is still plenty of provocative, rewarding music on the album, but it doesn't quite match the freshness or brilliance of the first two records. [This version of the album includes bonus material.]

As good as electronic music gets!
Larry Fast has always been blessed with plenty of ideas both technical and heartfelt. His upcoming performance at NEARFest in Bethlehem will be a blessing for fans of his Synergy material. Cords is one of my many favorite pieces of vinyl but I never played it as much as I'd like due to it being a specialty edition clear record. I wish that iTunes would contain the rest of the cover arts with these releases as well as the initial release date of the original vinyl. This is a recording that all fans of Progressive Electronic music should consider essential listening.
My favorite Synergy album!
I bought every LP starting back in the mid 70's. My LP collection was trashed several years ago due to a defective stylus. What a relief to find them all here. I really like every album too. Cords had a clear vinyl record that made it difficult to see the tracks.
Indispensable synthesizer album.
Love the album review, "With their third album…" when it's all done by one guy: Larry Fast.
He's still showing everyone how it can be done with synthesizers, this time with more short-form pieces. Catchy titles, courtesy of Peter Gabriel. Like wavespank, I with iTunes was including all the cover images. For "Cords", the album design was by the always-terrific Hipgnosis studio. But the primary reason to pick up this release is the music. Dynamite stuff!
