Could You Be Loved

There is no mistaking the classic sounds of Bob Marley; that sound that makes the listener want to hit the beach with a nice drink, umbrella optional. That being said, melodic metal band Park Lane took a stab at this classic song and the outcome is WOW! There is just enough Bob sprinkled throughout the song to draw the listener in and possibly create yet another fan for this band. No surprise here really, as the band released their full length album entitled "The Edge" in early September 2011, and backed it with a North American tour opening for national act, Fuel. Carley Coma has that same "alive" vibe that Bob had, but instead of hitting the beach one might want to organize a good old fashioned mosh pit; well maybe not quite that enthusiatic, but you should get the point here. The song is altered by the sound, but remains the original song. Guitarists, Mike Keller and Grayson Hurd find their way through this song as not just a means to an end, but electrify and breathe something new into it that is what might well be known in the future as definitive "Park Lane". Bassist, Clayton Wages and drummer, Cameron Stucky are no slouches here either. Stucky and Wages give a backbone to the song that allows the weight of the guitars and vocals to be elevated to a whole new level. Park Lane's version of "Could You Be Loved" is sure to be loved.
If you've not purchased "The Edge" consider giving "The Edge", "Silence" and "My Escape" a listen.
