First!!!!!! But anyways Tricky has always led the pack as far as orignaliy for the sake of the music, I put it like this if it was a trend tomorrow in the music industy to start putting live animals sound on your first and second single release would your favorite artist do it..? They probably would, do I think tricky would do it... no, he probably would've started it... Tricky's music continues to not only push the envelope but he burns it spits on it and stomps it, pick up the envelope with thumb and index finger and throws it over he shoulder. This new Tricky album is what fans have been waiting for because the thing about Tricky is that he doesn't just release album after album after album just because he can or has the means and money to do so, but it seems that he only release albums when he feels it's right and not because everybody else has a new album on the shelf that to sum it up is an album full of trends over lame production. When Tricky's album comes out it's always at the right moment not a minute late or a minute too soon. Tricky is and always will be MUSIC. Review from: The Guy Who Sat Behind You In School.
Back on the Map
Tricky is back with groundbreaking sounds and beats. As the previous poster said, they lead the pack in whatever genre they choose to do (they are sounding more modern hip-hop in this song). Their new LP, from what I can tell so far, is gonna be great!
COUNCIL ESTATE!
Awesome song. Of course, I expect nothing less from Tricky. I've been a huge fan of his music since Maxinquaye but no release since Premillennium Tension has really lived up to the standards I have for him. But THIS...wow. This set the bar of expectations monumentally high and I was so psyched to get an advance copy of Knowle West Boy (it'll be released September 9th in the States, it's been out since July 8th in the UK) and it was absolutely amazing. I love Tricky's new direction, it's a stellar album and you definitely don't want to sleep on this one when it comes out!
