Wow...learn some history first.
Funny how someone compares Haiku to J5 or Del or LB, obviously you don't know your hip-hop. Haiku D'Etat is comprised of Aceyalone, Abstract Rude and Micah or Myka Nine. Original Project blowed heads pioneering the sound that influenced (i'm sure) groups like J5. Peep Book of Human Language, the A-Team, or any of their numerous releases that you actually have to buy in a store and not only on iTunes and learn you something. Sorry dude, not to slam you're review, I just think it's a slight to say that they sound like the people they probably influenced in the first place. Best tracks Mike, Aaron and Eddie, Triumvirate, Poetry Takeover and Coup de Theatre.
you gotta love it
I just have to say that this was the first actual album of theirs that i bought, and well, it was well worth it, and it inspired me to get there previous album as well. From start to finish Haiku lets us listen ti good lyrics and a mix of slower and faster paced songs. "All Good Things" is one of my favorite of the album for right now, but ther are all up there.
dont act smart...
First of all this is a decent album, upbeat lyrics and great production, self titled is better in my opinion. but to the reviewer below...dont try to come across as a hip hop intellectual and criticize someone's review and tell them to learn their history, hypocrite...take sometime to learn it yourself......J5 is certainly an infleunce on this group, project blowed may have been around for longer (1989) but none of the members in this group were part of it then, J5 (Jurassic 5) immerged in 1993 before anyone of these cats even had a solo album, so get your facts straight before looking like a fool on your next "review bashing". Thanks :)
