An Admiral Twin favorite!
It Rocks! Showcasing the diversity that is one of Admiral Twin's greatest strengths, this CD goes from the opening barrage of "That's All Right" through to the plaintive questioning of "How Long?" with style. Composed of three talented vocalists, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists, they use all of their resources to great advantage. "Dreamer" takes an elusive image and builds the intensity to a drum pounding finish. "I'm Talking 'Bout Me" powerpops you into dance - you just can't sit still during that chorus. "The Fool's Brigade" paints a familiar view of the bar scene where "bloodshot zombies dance on." "Stay the Course" layers melody and harmonies in a hopeful and uplifting offering, and a rare case of them letting their optimism show. Probably my favorite is "Already Gone", a primo power ballad. Strong, evocative lead vocal, killer chorus with lush interwoven harmonies, and a Big Fat Wailin' Guitar Solo - beautiful. This CD has superpowers. It can make you laugh, cry, dance, sing, and think. An absolute favorite.
