Album Review

Bearing the kinship of West Coast gangsta rap legend Eazy-E, Ruthless Records signees Bone Thugs-N-Harmony scored a left-field anthem in summer 1994 with "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," the lead single from their debut release, the eight-song Creepin on ah Come Up EP. The group's harmonious, fast-paced rapping sets them apart from their gangsta rap contemporaries, as does their Midwestern locale. Another highlight here is "For tha Love of Money," which features Eazy shortly before his unexpected passing away. Capturing Bone in their prime, back when they were still a cohesive, functional unit with nothing to lose, Creepin on ah Come Up isn't such a worthwhile listen on its own, but "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" is perhaps the group's signature recording and undoubtedly essential listening for fans, either here or elsewhere, as the song would later be compiled on the Collection, Vol. 1 best-of (1998). [The 1999 re-release of E 1999 Eternal appended the Creepin on ah Come Up EP as a bonus disc.]

Original Bone Thugs

This is a must have album for any true Bone Thugs fan. "Creepin On Ah Come Up" is Bone's first album released on a major label. The beats are tight as hell, the flow is on point, it even has Eazy E on the track "Foe Tha Love of $". Definitely one of the greatest albums ever released. Click if you think yes

thank u itunes for finally getting classic bone thugs. These are definitley some of bone thugs' best songs and classic hip hop hits.

The Beginning

I would rate this as one of the best gangsta rap CDs of the 90's. There is not one bad song on here.

Graced with a quick, sometimes sung delivery, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony burst out of the Midwest in the mid-'90s with a pair of massive hits ("Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Tha Crossroads") along with a great album (E 1999 Eternal) and then quickly unraveled. Eazy-E signed the group — initially comprised of Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone, Flesh-N-Bone, Layzie Bone, and Bizzy Bone — to Ruthless Records and released a debut EP, Creepin on ah Come Up (1994). The EP boasted "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," a conventional...
