Customer Reviews
Great selection for any taste !
This is a great movie and 18 tracks is definitely a bargain. There are lots of great artists from Turkey that are not on the list. If you like progressive, then Oojami, Tarkan and Harem techno/percussion (not yet in iTunes) are also worth checking out. Looking forward to seing newer (2006) Tarkan and Oojami albums in iTunes. If you want Turkish classical with a jaz flavor, I also recommend Burhan Ocal / Istanbul Oriental Ensemble.
beautiful compilation
just saw the film. it really shows the many facets of both contemporary, and traditional Turkish music in Istanbul. east meets west!
i was inspired in so many ways.....beautiful artists
I am a dancer, and just happened to come across this movie. I was interested because of the music. After watching the movie, I was so inspired to get the soundtrack. You don't get to hear all the amazing emotions that are in this music...Please go watch the movie, and you will see what I mean. Baba Zula (Cecom), it is such a beautiful, beautiful song. It brings tears to your eyes. Aynur Dogan(Ehmedo) another very emotional and beautiful song. SiyaSiyaBend is an amazing, soulful band to watch. I would love to witness all these artists perform live. I def. recommend this soundtrack, and please take the time to watch the movie. You will not be disappointed.......and you will also hold a deep respect to the artists.
