Album Review
Johnny Rivera's most commercially successful recording hit a nerve in the early '90s, as the title tune cemented Rivera's reputation with salsa-hungry audiences. Recorded in Puerto Rico (at this time, the singer and bandleader/percussionist Sammy Garcia took residence on the island), this CD boasts other highlights as well: "Cuando Parará la Lluvia," "Voy a Conquistar Tu Amor," "Lo Que es Tenerte," "No Calles Más," and "La Razón de Mi Vida." GRUPO FASCINACION & LOS RODRIGUEZ are now posted!!!!!!!
This was his most popular CD as a solo artist in the 90's. Johnny started with a band called LOS RODRIGUEZ in the early 1980's which is now posted. After that, he recorded 3 albums with a band called GRUPO FASCIANCION which is by far his best work! All 3 are now posted. After Fascinacion and before Classico he recorded one song called "Que Te Vaya Bien" with GRUPO STAR de COLOMBIA. Check it out on I-tunes!!!!!! MONCHO SANTANA (Grupo Niche) sang the other 7 tracks on that album. Then he jumped over to Conjunto Classico and on to his solo career. One of the great singers in the business. Cheers Johnny!
