iTunes Review

Best known for his work with Kansas City hip-hop icon Tech N9ne, Big Scoob and Tech grew up together, attending the same school and living in the same neighborhood. In the mid-‘90s they helped assemble the crew 57th Street Rogue Dog Villains, scoring a regional hit with the single "Let's Get F**ked Up!" In the ensuing years, Tech became one of the game's most successful indie solo MCs, while Scoob set the mic down to focus on raising his family. In 2009 he returned to the booth and dropped his well-received first solo album Monsterific on Tech's Strange Music imprint. Damn Fool picks up where he left off, with a burly collection of 26 tracks (including skits) full of blustery verses and high-octane Midwestern beats. Lyrically he addresses scandalous groupies, street credentials, and the realities of everyday life. The impressive bicoastal guest list includes Bumpy Knuckles, Messy Marv, Glasses Malone, and Jay Rock.

HOT BEATS

IGNORANT lyrics.

Dwamn!

Big Scoob came through on this album exceeded my expectations for sure that's what you get when you support Strange Music.

What happened Scoob!

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Strange Music. Monsterific was fire and had me really anticipating his this album. I'm pretty disappointed by this album. The beats are just ok compared to Monsterific and the hooks are annoying. So far the best Strange album I heard this year was Brotha Lynch's, Coat Hanga Strangla was fire! I hope Cognito drops an album this year!

Rap music eventually provided a path out of the lifestyle. Along with fellow MC Tech N9ne, he formed the 57th Street Rogue Dog Villains, a group that released a handful of albums during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Frustrated with the industry, Scoob left music and focused on raising his daughters, but Tech N9ne convinced him to return after a few years...
