iTunes Review

Somewhere between the polished, eager-to-please Bad and the sessions for Dangerous, Michael Jackson apparently rediscovered his love for the gritty tracks of James Brown and Sly Stone. The commercial fortunes of New Jack Swing king Teddy Riley were no doubt another spur, but whatever: The six Riley-coproduced tracks that open this 1991 album rate as some of the funkiest, most agitated music Jackson's ever made. "Jam" and "Why You Wanna Trip on Me" find the saddening concerns of the prayerful "Heal the World" and "Will You Be There" boiling over, while "Remember the Time" is one of his most daring rhythmic statements since the coda of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." Dangerous may have been the last time Jackson would tip-toe so deftly on the line between abandon and self-absorption.

Awesome!

I personally think this is an AMAZZINGGG album!!! With the great hits such as "Gone Too Soon", "Blck or White" , "Remember The Time" , "Jam" , "Give in To Me", and one of my ultimate favorite Michael Jackson songs, which was played at the televised memorial, "Will You Be There" . Buy the entire thing!! You wont be upset!! PROMISE!! :)

Beautiful

In closet is so smooth. But black and white helped me to except myself as an African american. Amazing music

A Dangerously Good Album!

I'm not gonna lie, "Dangerous" is one of two Michael Jackson "post-1978" albums that I feel it's safe to say I'm least familiar with (the other one being HIStory - I haven't heard that one, as well as the ones he recorded as a young boy and teen). It's not that after I gave it a listen I didn't like it, I just could not stop playing his other albums, they were that good. 1. Jam - What an amazing way to start off the album. It's got a great beat, with an in-your-face kind of feel. 2. Why You Wanna Trip on Me - My favorite song off the album. I love everything about it; the lyrics, the beat, his voice. Everything. 3. In the Closet - Such a funky song! Without the first 35 or so seconds it's really good. 4. She Drives Me Wild - I've come to the conclusion that every song on this album is very funky (in a good way) and has an excellent beat. This is no exception, and it makes you want to get up and dance like crazy! 5. Remember The Time - This song has good lyrics and for some reason the beat reminds me of Janet's "What Have You Done For Me Lately". No idea why. 6. Can't Let Her Get Away - THIS song REALLY makes you want to get up and shake it. Wow. 7. Heal The World - Another candidate for my favorite song on the album. It has such a powerful message and MJ's voice sounds so good here. Highly recommended. 8. Black or White - Come on, who doesn't know this song?! It just plain rocks! 9. Who Is It - Is it me or does this song sound like it could have been recorded by the Backstreet Boys? Not trying to insult, it's a very good song, but...just sayin'. 10. Give In To Me - Wow. This is yet another candidate for favorite song off the album. It's just amazing. The rock sound, the guitars - everything. 11. Will You Be There - My second favorite slow song off the album. There's really not much else to say about this song. 12. Keep The Faith - I really like this song, it's got a nice beat to it and sends out a very inspirational message. 13. Gone too Soon - A very, very touching song. It's a great song too. 14. Dangerous - This seven-minute album closer sounds very similar to "In The Closet", which makes this track sound sort of unoriginal. I'm sure I would have thought the same as ITC if they had swapped places.
