Great writing, playing and enginering!
Bought the Citadel iPhone app for .99 and had to look real hard to find them here on iTunes because of the symbol in their name I guess. The style diversity on this CD makes it stand out on first listen, but even then, there is so much to listen to and so many movements within each song that it is like an amuzement park ride. Next listened in headphones and found even more nuances and layering nuggets. With as many albums as Citadel has released and as long as they've been doing it, it doesn't make sense they are not more well-known. But then when a band takes so many chances with their music it does make sense that major labels would be afraid of them. This band obviously makes their music because they want to give listeners a ride they'll never get from a major label act. I already bought three copies on CD from CDBaby so I can freak out my so-called 'prog' expert friends. I love this CD!

Citadel is one of the great hidden gems of ProgRock. This is one of their best.
