FLOWER POWER
As a fan of some of the artists here, it's almost worth hearing how they sound so many years after they originally recorded these songs. Not so much that you would ever want to buy this, of course. And can it really be cheaper for K-Tel and the other companies that put out these bogus compilations to re-record these songs rather than simply licensing the original tracks?
What a weird songlist.
pulled up the album for Iron Butterfly but lame songlist of remakes very not worth it.
Pathetic
Pathetic is the only review I can give K-Tel for this excuse to make a buck. The song Lay Down (Candles In The Rain) is the only original version on this album. However, it IS an absolute fantastic song, inspired by the woodstock music fair circa 1969. By all means download that song, but no others. The Iron Butterfly and Strawberry Alarm Clock imitators are the worse. Even if it was the original Iron Butterfly, why would anyone want a 3 min. version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida?
