Customer Reviews

obviously dont know anything about the dazz band

the dazz band is one of the best r/b live bands of its time. i,ve seen them in person many times ,and they have excellent harmony that was called talent. the lead singer skip martin was so good he even sang with kool and the gang. and for the record, the original name for the group was kinsman dazz.but if you arent from cleveland you wouldnt know that. i for one appreciate their music

I agree with you C.O.P.

I have seen many R&B bands/groups live, but my favorite live performances came from Maze Feat. Frankie Beverly, The Whispers, Roger and Zapp, and last but certainly not least, The Dazz Band. For a live recording, this one has pretty good sound quality. The the listeners that gave it bad review not only know nothing about the Dazz Band, but they know absolutely nothing about R&B/Funk period. The Dazz Band is not a rock or disco band. If you're gonna give something a bad review, at least know what it is you're looking for...

Wow, what happened?!

Really? They included a huge intro of corporate sponsors and miscellaneous event announcements to this album?! (listen to the 90 second sound clip "introduction"). I know it's been a while since their big hits, but this band now sounds like a tired, local casino bar band. "Joystick" is a mess and "Let it Whip" sounds like karoke night at the local nightclub.

By all means pass, pass, pass and get the original recordings, which have 10 times more energy.
