What you've been missing from today's music
This band encompasses everything i've been missing since the 90's began a horrendous downward spiral in popular music culture. Heavy hitting four to the floor grooves, meet pleasing and intoxicating vocals to combine styles and genres in a colorful array of mature song arrangement. I must admit that I haven't always been a fan of female fronted rock bands, and often times think they end up sounding forced or awkward, but the singer has such a beautiful and powerful voice that it grabs from the 1st song and doesn't let go.
Can't wait for the album
I've known these guys (and girl) for a while as a friend and fellow musician, having shared stages in LA together. I've also grown to be a fan not only because they are a fantastic rock group, but because they are genuinely amazing people that I respect artistically. I must say, (and I mean this as a complement) this EP doesn't do them justice! Their live show trumps this recording. In their raw form, they are more energetic and rockin' than what comes across in these recordings. I love The Shakers and I'm excited to hear how these songs grow on their upcoming album.
Blown Away
This band is a rising star that deserves the media's attention. I saw them live just the other night, and was amazed at their energy, performance, and her vocals. Support this band and buy their debut album-they are worth the few dollars!
