Customer Reviews
the highly anticipated album finally drops, and it has exceeded past all expectations.
i have been following this cat for some time now, and i have been anticipating the american version of this album for quite some time now, and let me tell you, it beat all my expectations and was well worth the wait. once you peep this album, you will understand its title—a lot of heart, soul, and passion went into this one. his flows are rather simplistic, but are inriched with charecter, energy, charisma, originality, and life experience. his production shines. it is apparent after listening to this album or any of his previous colab projects, that he has a great apperciation for his influences and the godfathers of production in hip hop's legacy. while his beats display the charecteristics of many of hip hops legendary producers such as, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, DJ Premier, J Dilla, and Kanye West, he embodies their style with his own unique twist of personal creativity and originality: it almost feels like your listening back through the evolution of hip hop production when listening to his work. because of this quality, his production is also very rich and deep. you can almost feel the experience he had when constructing the beat when listening to it. Hadee truely reveals the concept of the complexity of simplicity, which i believe is his signature quality. his simplistic chopping of samples find themselves socketed into elaberate patterns of repitition and layering that deliver a dream like experience when listened to. he pushes each sample to its full potential. this is truely worth the purchase, not just for the sake of copping some quality music, but for the sake of supporting a quality artist. It's not too often you have a exceptional Producer and a solid MC all combined into one; let alone one that can put together an album with both elements complementing eachother and acting in harmony as one force. On top of all that, he is still an infant in his career, and with as much as he has evolved in that period of time, the hip hop community can expect big things from him. if you havent heard his name, you will. buy it n bump it.
AMAZING
i just heard of this guy a couple of months ago from a podcast & finally decided 2 check him out & MAN....i've been sleepin. i love 9th wonder & this album reminds me of something he would do. every track is cool & that's rare these days. BUY THIS & don't sleep like i've been. i'm awake now.
a whole album of what i like
usually theres a couple tracks on a hip hop album that really do it for me, but this one is crazy all the way through. i first heard 'surrender' and loved it, so i waited for the american version of this album to become available...its dope. gary colemen pretty much covers it...get this album.
