Love. It.
Wow. I saw her perform in Somerville, MA and she is great live. Bought the album and I can't stop listening. Soulful alterna-country/folk with gospel overtones. Really different. At the concert she sang songs that are not on this album...hopefully she'll record those soon too. They were amazing.
Beautiful soulful voice....with lyrics that matter.
This album is a sweet return to good quality music and song writing. If you like Aimee Mann, Jewel, Nataile Merchant or Tori Amos, then you will most likely like Laura Vecchione as well. If you're tired of that fluff-with-no-filling music and would like to listen to songs that mean something because they come from meaning, that try this album. You won't regret it. Good lyrics + good voice + real instruments = EXCELLENT MUSIC. Favorites are "Jane", "Fool's Gold" and "Penelope"....also, the BEATLES cover "Lady Madonna" is great as well.
Laura Vecchione is Amazing
I have been following Laura for a long time and she just keeps getting better and better. I have this CD and can't stop listening to it!
