I know we all have opinions but the person who said that Slick Rick was the worst rapper ever doesn't know what rap is. Slick Rick is a legend. A Def Jam legend. Def Jam wouldn't be as big as it is without Slick Rick.

Now, granted, this disc does not have every one of Def Jam's Greatest Hits- that would require more than one disc. But this other reviewer who says that Slick Rick is the worst rapper ever is just sick. Without Rick Tha Ruler's witty, effortless rhymes and classic storytelling we wouldn't have rappers like Snoop Dogg today (who went so far as to cover Slick Rick's "La Di Da Di" on his classic debut "Doggystyle"). "Children's Story" alone is enough to earn this disc 4 stars.
