He has arrived
I have been listning to shadow for years now. For those of you who don't know he takes old classic jazz and rNb records and mixes them with modern day effects. Great music especially the 4 part "What does your soul look like"
New twist on his old roots.
Amazing. It's an electronic twist of what he did best, a la endtroducing and private press. Great to hear him ditch that garbage Outsider crap.
Well... At least it's not The Outsider
It's ok... it's not great.
After the mess that was The Outsider, I expected DJ Shadow to return to his roots and give us some more trip-hop downtempo greatness. Instead we get treated to jittery drums, repeated samples, and a Moby-esque lullaby that's barely memorable.
I sincerely hope his next full-length album is better than this EP.
