The Definitive Collection ?
Word Entertainment forgot something, a big Roman Numeral I after the title. Leon Patillo is a leader and has been on the cutting edge of "one man band" music for longer than I (or probably he) really want to admit; his silky smooth, but somehow, at the same time energetic vocals are still mesmorising. Try and keep you feet still when playing "Cornerstone", your heart from quickening when "I've Heard the Thunder" is on, or your eyes dry when think of your wedding day and play "Flesh of my Flesh". I'm sorry but one Definitive Collection for Mr. Patillo is not enough. There has to be a Definitive Collection II (or III, or IV) in the works. What about "Dance Children Dance", "Go", "Born Again", or "Amazing Grace", how about some humor, he does some great standup stuff, a video of him in concert would be a real treat. Obviously the marketing department at Word Entertainment is preparing (setting us up) for more, and I for one, am looking forward to it. Enjoy!
I'm Loving "The Definitive Collection: Leon Patillo"
I had these songs on cassette 20 years ago and I'm so thrilled to see Leon's Praise songs are now on iTunes and CD. His songs are timeless, I enjoy them as much today as I did in the '80s. His music is so uplifting, and his God-given voice is beautiful.
Timeless Praise Classics
I was a young soldier in the infantry at Ft. Carson, CO when I first heard Leon Patillo. As I escaped to the mountains I would play his tape in my Geo Storm and bathe in the glory of nature and praise to God. Leon has alway uplifted me because his songs are so scriptural. Even though the feel is from the 80's, the music is timeless. This is a great collection and should be added to anyone's collection of praise and worship music.
