Good thing former dentist Louis Colaiannia traded his dental tools and floss for a piano. At age 5, watching a televised Liberace performance sparked his interest in music and then a case of carpal tunnel syndrome ultimately brought him back to his passion. The newest project is DESERT WINDS, a 10-piece collection of instrumentals. Categorizing Colaiannia’s music might be superfluous – because the spectrum of styles is wide. Classical, New Age and contemporary are the first terms that come to mind… Beyond the intellectual, the listener will be broad sided by the emotional content. The aptly named “Tender Kisses,” invites the gentle caress of a lover’s lips to the cheek. “Godamia,” another highlight, is a melody of serene beauty ideal for nesting by a warm fire.
