Finally! A christian version of Opeth!
After coming back to christ and getting closer, I was having a very difficult time finding a band that reminds me alot of Opeth. I can't think of one thing I do not like of this band. I consider this the closest version of Christian Opeth and Amon Amarth i can get that i can find.
Very Talented Band
Hey Echolipse, I used to be into alot of very bad bands including In Flames and i to have realized my mistake. Ive been a Christian about five years now and found alot of good music since In Flames. Iff you or anyobody else are a fan of In Greif or Amon Amarth, check out Pantokrator, Sacrificium, Immortal Souls, Deuteronomium, and Soul Embraced.
RELISH THIS METAL MASTERPIECE
The opening is that of soft, gentle tones, string instruments and a steadily played keyboard. A fire crackles merrily in the darkness. Within several minutes, you are plunged into the icy and brutal growls that Northmen are so well known for. The tempo explodes, and you have your double bass, reverbs and sick riffs. The album is best listened to from beginning to end, preferably without interruption, for it consistently builds on itself, moving from hard, to soft, to utter brutality. The soft vocals are nothing to shake a stick at either. If you are a fan of OPETH, Lo-Ruhamah or BTBAM, definitely get this.
