Superfluous

I found this band randomly through some friends and I have been very impressed. "killer in the trees" is one of the best songs I've heard in quite awhile. Though they take many aspects of other bands and incorporate them into their songs, this should not take away from their talent and ingenuity. The production of this album is amazing, the ideas they have come up with are fantastic and I look forward to future releases from the band. They deserve a lot of respect for their efforts. I found the "Red Balloon" video/convert to be one of the greatest music productions in a long time. The effort put into all their albums is astounding and hopefully they will be able to go on to greater things with their music in the coming years.

"I think my cool's worth losing..."

...over Jake Dilley & The Color Pharmacy! This is the first I have ever heard from them, and I can honestly say I am glad I stumbled upon them! I have been looking for something new and this is exactly what I have been looking for. With an almost electrifying voice that sounds like Kings of Leon (minus the twangy sound I am not a huge fan of with KOL), Jake Dilley has taken me on my own "Detour" from reality since it's release. I am finding myself falling into each song, enjoying each more than the one before it. "Start Over" is easily at the top of my list, although there is something very Sufjan Stevens-like about "The Last Hundred Years" that I just love and how well the female vocals melt into the lead's in "Under the Radar"...my only complaint about this album is that there aren't more songs! I look forward to more from these guys (and gal)! And hope they do well enough to come to Chicago!
