Sparkling!
DIamonds and Blood once again displays what a special musician Jay Nash is. With new songs "TIl I get Through", "Shake it off," "Hang around", and "River Prayer" we see a songwriter not afraid to evolve, but really only seeking his own approval. At such a young age, the quantity of Jay's catalog of music is impressive in it's own right, but the fact that he never seems to write the same song twice, while touring and playing 100 shows a year, makes his feats even more jaw dropping. Diamonds and Blood is a beautifully crafted album, and Jay Nash has become one of those rare throwback musicians who continues to carry on the spirit of true Rock N' Roll.

I've listened to this album several times straight through and it has taken this shape that I cannot get enough of. It seemed to evolve inside my head and my heart with each pass. I have a hard time skipping songs as I just want to listen to everthing... the music, the lyrics, the feeling in each song. Jay Nash is a genuine talent in every sense. Till I Get Through is a brilliant opener. Hang Around has a way of getting stuck in your head. River Prayer is a song that stops everything else going on. The redone Unshakable is even more beautiful than it was before, transforming it into something new and worth listening to again and again.
