The Cheese Is No Longer Fresh.

I used to think Richard Cheese was infallable! Ever since he entered the comedy/parody music scene, I have been a huge fan. I have every Richard Cheese CD and listen to his best tracks on a daily basis. This is why it's so hard to listen to this collection of un-funny drudgery. After the dissapointing "Silent Nightclub," I started to lose faith in Richard Cheese. His material was clearly running dry and the opportunities for good spoofs were growing fewer. I bought this with the hopes that Richard would once again impress me with his wit and hillarious musical insight. This CD features some of the most lackluster singing Cheese has ever done. Are his vocal chords really so bad he can't go for those high notes anymore? Plus, the arrangements aren't terribly clever - just standard lounge arrangments of TV themes. Richard, if you read this, please, take some time off to heal your voice and get some great ideas. You're too funny to put this kind of shlock out there and ruin the great reputation you've worked so hard to earn. Best luck in the future. I'm still down with the Dickness.

Wow, my new "Dick At Nite" CD is fabulous!

OH MY GOD! THEY'VE LOUNGED KENNY! Legendary lounge singer Richard Cheese returns with his 7th album, "Dick At Nite," featuring loungified versions of your favorite TV Theme Songs! Imagine Sinatra singing the SOUTH PARK theme, and you've got Dick At Nite! This all-new CD features 16 swingin' Vegas versions of TV tunes, like THREE'S COMPANY, GOOD TIMES, AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE, THE JEFFERSONS, THE BRADY BUNCH, and even a snazzy take on the SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS song! This kooky collection of swankified TV themes will fly you to the couch! Complete band info: richardcheese.com

Too Short for a Full Five Stars!

2007/09/06 - I loves me the Richard Cheese. I own all of his albums, and have seen him perform live. I awaited this new album with eager anticipation, especially considering how many classic, easily-loungifiable TV theme songs exist. But, 16 songs clocking in at a little over 26 minutes? Come on, Dick! You could have EASILY crossed the half-hour line! No "Underdog"? No "Flintstones"? No "Wonder Woman" or "Beverly Hillbillies"? Yet you've included "Darth Vader's (Non-TV) Theme"?!? Don't get me wrong; this is a great album, and should be purchased by all. You've just left us (me?) wanting more, Mr. Cheese!

Biography

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s

It's unfortunate that the cultural value of Limp Bizkit's "Nookie," 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny," and Beyoncé's "Naughty Girl" seems lost to the generation graced with such rich music, but if there's one man who can point out the timelessness of these tunes it's Richard Cheese. After hearing songs like the Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" and Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice," lounge singer Richard Cheese realized he was living in what he likes to call "a Golden Age of songwriting." It seemed like only he...
