A Diamond in the Rough
What a fantastic artist. I don't know how I could have missed him all these years. I typically enjoy alternative or country music, but this has to be one of the best albums I have heard, as with any album you may not like all songs but the vast majority of his albums are excellent from start to finish.
heartfelt and genuine
I am so hardpressed to find artists at the caliber of Mark, as this is one of my most favorite albums ever. I first saw him at a new years eve gig in palm springs (1999? i think). then again at the San Diego Pride (2004?). Anyway, I have been somewhat of a fan ever since. I particularly like the way he sings Hiding in the stone and Jo & Libby amongst other tracks. hey, if someone of his integrity can be out there making gay music - then there may actually be hope for the rest of us. Keep up the good work Mark. Stay heartfelt and Genuine. Ely M.
A Treasure
To me, "AZT" is worth the price of the album all by itself. It takes quite a guy to find humor in living with HIV. Well done!
