Album Review

Disco Before the Breakdown is close to what could be expected from Gainesville, FL's Against Me! — impassioned folk-influenced gritty punk with rough lead vocals and choruses of "whoa"s chiming in behind. The EP's relatively upbeat and horn-friendly title track is a highlight, showcasing the group's standard energetic and reckless vigor.

Customer Reviews

My favorite AM! album. No joke.

Fairweather Against Me! fans may be turned off by this album because it it so different from anything else they have done. That said, this is some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. The songs deal with some powerful concepts. The first track, "Disco" contains a powerful message about homosexuality. However my favorite is the last track. It is simple, but the last 30 seconds are quite possibly the most beautiful thing ever made. Put simply, this is an amazing album despite its shorth length.
