The Old that Birthed the New
Anyone whose ever heard the stuff being put out lately by epic groove makers like Justice, Hot Hot Heat, or LCD Soundsystem should definitely check out this reissued compilation. Highlights are the opener "Launderette", Shriekback's "My Spine is the Bassline", and "Contort Yourself" by James White. A must have for the new-wave disc jockey looking for some old school flavors to sample in their sets.
This comp is red freaking HOT!!
If nothing else, at least check out Love Tempo, an absolute dancefloor classic, it could be 20 minutes long and never get old. My secondary choice would be Los Ninos del Parque, another monster track. This whole comp is really, really solid.
WRONG GROUP AND SONG on TRACK 8
Hey!!! It should not be KADDISH by GINA X but it is SEOUL MUSIC by the legendary Japanese Techno group YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA. The track is from their fourth album TECHNODELIC. Unacceptable MISTAKE!!!
