Awesomeasauce!
Tom Schecter brings it like its his job, and he does a damn good job. "Beautiful and Damaged" hits it out of the park, and the whole album will find it's way into rotation. Word to the wise: after your first (or tenth) listen, you'll suddenly find yourself sober and balanced, dying for a cigarette and wishing to listen again.
First!
Fantastic record. Expansive. It covers a range of styles and emotion missing from most modern albums. The acoustic cuts are real gems, particularly the bluegrassy Keep Warm to the Springsteen-invoking Beautiful and Damaged.
Tom Schecter is an original!
This album is full of truth and raw emotion. Each time you listen you struggle to decide which song you like best. Of course Disparition and Beautiful and Damaged top the list, but at second glance One Way Street and Outside the Wire rise to the top! It has a hard edge and meaningful lyrics that keep you coming back for more! :)
