Who's Ready To Groove!
My buddy opined that this dude (DJ Andy Smith) has listened to more music than he'll ever hear in his entire life. That statement spoke volumes. Infact, DJ Andy Smith has a firm handle on the musical universe. He seems to blend a myriad of musical styles seemlessly. Obviously a workaholic savant of tunage. If you love music, then buy this album, you'll love it guarenteed!
Good...but not Andy's best.
Get his earlier releases for his better stuff....any DJ who mix Funk #49 by the James Gang into their set is amazing in my book. Plus, in case you were wondering, he's the DJ from Portishead, so check them out too.
Lame Boring Few Hooks Yawnfest
20 seconds or so into each song there is a shoutout to himself "...DJ Andy Smith..." Mark Ronson did this first and it's lame. The music is a yawnfest for someone who gave us Portishead beats. You can find better music elsewhere.
