awesome song
Alicia Keys is wonderful. Probably the best female artist, to me, for the past 8 or 9 years. She is definetly helping keep alive a music genre that has extremely weakened over the past decade: R&B. She sticks to what she knows she is good at, and that is making truly amazing music. She doesnt conform to be popular, she is just popular bc of her musical talents.
This song has true and emotional meaning. It has a gorgeous melody, and the piano is perfect. Alicia sounds so amazing on this record, effortlessy soaring through the melody. I cannot wait for her new album, it is supposed to be different from As I Am. And if this single is a good indication of what the album will sound like, then the album will be incredible. Great record here. Buy it.

Alicia Keys is back with a beautiful new song, "Doesn't Mean Anything". I love it and she never seems to disappoint me. A true artist who constanly gives us quality music.
Hmm... reoccurring theme here
So I get that this is a totally new song and it does have a nice sound to it and I do love Alicia Keys.. BUT in terms of content... isn't this just her song "If I Ain't Got You" or "No One" .... wrapped up in slightly different skin? Maybe this is the key to success with these artists... they just write about the same thing over and over and over again... and just change some of the words and create a new song out of it... So we've had "If I Aint Got You"... and "No One".... now we have "Doesn't Mean Anything"... maybe her next song will be "It's Not the Same Anymore"....
I'm not saying I'm getting tired of the same theme over and over again.... at least not YET... but Alicia, could you sing a song about something else besides how you'd feel after someone has left or if you were to lose someone?
