Great album for adults as children
Sandra Boynton's third album is her best yet! (sorry, Philadelphia Chickens fans.) Like "Philadelphia Chickens," her grammy nominated and NYT Bestselling second album (there's a book that goes with each of her albums, that's why it's on the bestselling books list), this album is a series of children's songs in different styles, but where "Philadelphia Chickens" was based on show tunes, this one is rock and roll! And the songs are mostly hilarious! The album once again features an all-star cast like the Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler,Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Kevin Bacon, Five for FIghting, Hootie and the Blowfish, Alison Krauss, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Kate Winslet. The last two are paired which is about the weirdest combination you can imagine, and that's intentional on the album creator's part. This is one of the few albums supposedly for children that not only won't drive adults crazy, but you'll actually listen to it without children. In fact, "(Don't give me that) Broccoli" by the Phenomenauts is absolutely hilarious. "Cow Plant" in three episodes is great too, as is "Wave Bye-Bye" (about a 4 year old who really really wants to leave an adult party), Pots & Pans, Evermore... in fact they're all great. Buy this album now, you won't be disappointed. Sandra Boynton is working on a 4th album and I await it anxiously!
BEST KIDS ALBUM EVER!!
As a mom of five I have had about enough of annoying kids' albums. I LOVE this album. I too play the songs when my kids are not even in the van! My older kids love it (teenager included) and my 20 month old shakes his head "No!" when we play the Tantrum song. The artists on this album are some of the most talented out there, so even though it is a kid's album the music is fantastic. Favorites: Dog Train, Wave Bye-Bye, Boring Song and Tantrum! This is music the whole family will enjoy!
Go Weird Al & Kate Winslet
I Need a Nap is a great song and I think a lot of people can relate to it. (Don't listen to it too much or you will need a nap!)
