Wish I Could Like This
What happened to the Rock n Roll band from the first album. And You Were A Crow absolutely rocked, while this sounds like Evanescence at times. The musicianship might be excellent but the songs don't rock, period. Very disappointed.
Excellent album!
I was very skeptical after reading a few early reviews by critics...but after having listened to the album myself--this thing will be on repeat for a few weeks to get it nestled into my mind. I really like "Holding On," a sad little acoustic ballad. All musicians are in top form--forget about the critic comments that this album is "too commercial" or that the guitarists have scaled back on the virtuousity of the first album; the musical direction here is more complex than "CROW". Enjoy and support a band that deserves it in a day when most don't. Cheers! Thanks Mob!

Epic - A Sequel of Sorts to "And You Were The Crow"
First of all,
WELCOME BACK PARLOR MOB! WE MISSED YOU!
In the time we've had to wait, the band has had time to grow tighter and together. This record shows the band is expanding more on their epic, Zeppelinesque songwriting. The riffage is ever-fresh and if there is any God or sense of justice in the world, then Mark Melicia should be put in the same books as Plant and Jim Morrison. If The Parlor Mob can recieve some decent promotion/backing and build up the fan base, they might be able to "stick" this time around and go down in history. I look forward to witnessing their rise.
