Professionally Re-mastered version of Don't Be Afraid

When “Don’t Be Afraid” was first released on Cleopatra in 1997, it received a fairly poor mastering job, which compromised the aural quality of the album. This new version, including the previously-hidden song “White Roses” has been professionally re-mastered, and sounds much better. Since most of these songs are dense and noisy, good mastering is essential to hearing them properly. Of course, .mp3 is a lousy-sounding lossy compression scheme anyway, but since most people are playing Emperor’s New Clothes on that one, you will most likely choose to overlook that fact. For those of you who want real recordings, this album is being physically re-released on Dancing Ferret records this year. (2008)

By far, my favorite Insoc. album

The inclusion of White Roses is much appreciated!! I remember going on the scavenger hunt to find that song over a decade ago. It ended up getting lost with a hard drive crash or accidentally deleted... Now I can listen to it again after all these years!

Although it's hard to improve on excellence...

The re-master of this album is awesome!! Everything sounds so much more vibrant. Although this album continues to be INSOC's darkest, the trip deep into the recesses of Kurt's mind are much more enjoyable now. Thank you for doing what I thought could not have been done. And a special thanks to INSOC for continuing to make great music, I am looking forward to the show at The Viper Room, I will see you there!!

The single "What's on Your Mind (Pure...
