Don't Shoot Them Down

First of all, let me state that 'Don't Shoot Me Santa' is no 'A Great Big Sled', but it still delivers that Killers feel. Personally, I can't listen to it without being reminded of 'Why Do I Keep Counting?', but that doesn't stop me from loving it on it's own terms. I love the fact that they keep their fans constantly entertained with new material (Definitely taking some heavy U2 tips, which makes sense). If you dislike The Killers, then I don't see this song changing your mind about them, and if you love The Killers, chances are you downloaded the song before even reading this review, but if you're in the middle, then I think you would be spending your $0.99 wisely.

Awesome, just like the first Christmas single!

This song is awesome, I'm glad they are continuing to support the fight against AIDS. Can't wait for their new CD to be released. Vote if you agree!!

Great song...

First off, this song is amazing. It's simply the work of pure geniuses. I love the odd lyrics and their use of instruments. Amazing! Now, I just want to make a friendly comment to some of the people writing: "Why would Santa shoot you?" You have to think outside the box and listen to what the words are saying. In the song, this guy did a bad thing and he's trying to justify his actions to Santa. It's symbolic, I'm sure many of you have heard the song that goes: "He's making a list, Checking it twice; Gonna find out who's naughty or nice."

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Few bands in the early 2000s rose so quickly to the forefront of pop music as the Killers. With a mix of '80s-styled synth pop and fashionista charm, the band's street-smart debut, Hot Fuss, became one of 2004's biggest releases, spawning four singles and catapulting the group — particularly their dandyish, 22-year-old frontman, Brandon Flowers — into the international spotlight. Hot Fuss reveled in the garish glitz of the band's native Las Vegas, spinning tales of androgynous girlfriends...
