Move Over Sara Bareilles!!!
If Amy Winehouse cleaned up her act and Fiona Apple started taking anti-depressants, you might have a sound similar to Selena Garcia. Soaring above a piano-and-horns-driven rhythm section, Garcia’s voice is sweet, but not syrupy, and filled with a quiet intensity that attentive listener’s will appreciate. But don’t let her silky voice fool you, she can belt with the best of them. With well-crafted melodies and thoughtful lyrics, Selena’s debut EP is sure to make waves in a sea of mediocre pop. Can’t Wait For You is a movie theme song in waiting and the title track Don’t Worry It’s Not Love could easily be the next girl-power anthem. Selena certainly demands R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
