Underated clan member

I used to sleep on God back in the day with the line up of the members of Wu, it's easy to get overshadowed by the likes of Ghostface, Gza, Rae, Masta, Meth etc. But U-God is a poetic cat, very metaphorical and abstract with his flow...not everyone can appreciate his offering yet I've matured and grown to. Support the Clan these dudes still bring it at this stage in their careers better than a lot of the young cats do. Cop it, bang it, love it!

U-God Finally Delivers

If nothing else, download Train Trussle. It's classic Wu. But if you want to go deeper get the album and enjoy U-God finally putting it all together on Cocaine, Lipton and Hips. The album as a whole is very well put together with some great Wu beats and (finally) some legit U-God rhymes. U-God has never been the most famous of the Wu-Tang Clan and in many circles is considered the most maligned of the group. However, U-God always had potential and in certian group songs he excelled (Pinky Ring, Iron God Chamber, Triumph). He just never had a quality solo album. This is finaly that album.

Finally!!!!

This album would have been a major hit if released at the peak of the Clan in the mid 90's..Unlike Redemption and Mr.Excitement that left you scratching your head, this album is nearly a classic!!Best tracks have to be Train Trussle, Lipton, and Dopium...trust me when i say you won't regret purchasing this album!!U-God's best!!

Biography

Born: November 10, 1970

Genre: Hip Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

One of the lesser-known MCs in the nine-member Wu-Tang Clan, U-God was born Lamont Hawkins, and also raps under the aliases Golden Arms, Lucky Hands, Baby U, and 4-Bar Killer. U-God missed out on the first round of Wu-Tang solo projects, which occurred in between the releases of the Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever albums; however, he got his chance during the second go-round that followed. 1999's Golden Arms Redemption made him the eighth member of the group to record a solo album....
