Customer Reviews

Wonderful job, Dan!

Dan and I have been listening to each other's music for awhile now. Man, he blew me away this time around. Dan's songwriting is becoming much more mature. He's writing a variety of songs. For example, I especially think "Monster" is super interesting. It has a Jason Mraz scat feel with some sick jazz/blues piano riffs laced throughout the song. He really shows off his talent in this song. It might not be a fan favorite, but you blew me away with this one, brotha.

Dan has so much head space in these songs compared to his old ones. The verses and choruses all run so smoothly with each other. Very catchy hooks. He's really coming into his voice. The runs are crystal clear and pitch perfect. Wonderful tone. Everything is outside the box.

Other standout tracks are "Take On the World", "The Fourth of July", and "Woke Up At the White House" but the whole album is great!

If you are a fan of Ben Folds and Jacks Mannequin, be prepared to have some ear orgasms.

MAN YOUR GROWING UP

Its hard for me to really write a review on this Cd. I watched Dan Grow up since 3years old, He really comes from a great family of love, and you hear it in his music.Whats was really cool for me, it was not POP that you would hear it on the same channel as stuff like POKER FACE and crap like that, its really got a great feel to it, GREAT WITH HEAD PHONES (TRY IT).Ok its mature for the age of the artist. Keep up the great work Dan. cant wait till Duplexs comes out LOL Oh one more thing i played Lullaby for the patients for a freind she had goose bumps and cryed. PEACE AND ODAAT. tylers Dad.

Dormitory '09

I have been listening to Dan's music for quite some time now. I've always supported him. I've always thought his extremity of talent was beyond my comprehension. But this new album, "Dormitory" has simply blown my mind. The magnificent quality is incredible. I've heard bits and peices of some of these songs along the way, but to hear them all come together at their finalities is spine chilling. Dan is merely a poet who expresses himself through what he loves the most, his music. Every song on this album is relative, and you can feel each emotion behind them. That's always been one of my favorite things about Dan: His ability to convey his feelings through every work he creates. This man is an artist, a poet, a musician. I've taken a lot of time to sit and listen to every sound, every beat, and every word in each of these songs, and to be completely honest I was and still am notably impressed with it all. I am so proud of Dan and how much his music and production has grown to improve since I've known him. "Dormitory" is absolutely worth the money. You will NOT regret purchasing it. It's worth every second of your time.
