Gifted Vocalist. No songs.

This is a gifted singer. I saw her on a TV talent show, which she won easily -- although the competition was not in her league. Still, she can go toe-to-toe with almost any of the so-called R&B singers charting today. Unfortunately, her failure is emulating them, despite her skill at firing off multiple, nearly perfect note intervals per word. And, just like so many other identically talented contemporary "R&B" singers (who attain commercial success, because they have the prerequisite naturally given or store-bought body, the committed financial/managerial organization invested in them, and can deliver a solid performance vocally) she has NO SONGS. Period. Talented musicians and/or producers, who I sometimes suspect have never finished high school, who have a limited vocabulary, and even more limited imagination crank this crap out. These "songs" are here today; gone later on today. They are not memorable. They will never be covered by anyone -- ever. And, shame on those who "dumb down" their lyrics for the "street." How about writing some lyrics with integrity, and lift up your target audience. Go read about Motown Records. Learn what made real R&B great: Great singers; great songs. Large sales of product does not equal great material. That's just great marketing. The "Pet Rock," the "Hula-hoop," the Beasty Boys -- that's marketing. Lisa, jettison this stale production team, who want to ride your coat tails to get some cuts should you break out. Team up with some pop/rock people -- real songwriter/producers. Sing something that matters. Move people. If you care to, with the right material (even at your age), I believe you could get some mass audience attention. As far as appearance goes, you have a remarkably pretty face. You are easy on the eyes. Your face and voice are two very strong assets, and could propel you into the mainstream IF you are seeking that. I wish you all the best. But, if you are passionate about what you are doing presently, you MUST do that for its own sake. You must be true to yourself. Great voice. Great vocal chops. Good luck.

If you're going through a break up, this album will give you the motivation to leave and feel good about it! Besides that, the beats are amazing and the lyrics are relatable. You WILL NOT be disappointed! Personal favorites include tracks: Beg, Better Off Dead, Leave Me Alone and Notice Me... Buy it and support an amazing unsigned artist!
