Incredible!
Amazing music!
They knocked it clear out of the park with this one!
The entire album is inspired and refreshing. He changes it up a lot, which I find commands your attention from beginning to end. For enthusiasts and audiophiles alike, nothing could be better. This is what music was meant to be. It isn't careful or calculated or watered down for the masses; it is inspired, complex, soulful and honest. Doug chose the most virtuosic musicians he knew and made incredible music with them. Everyone on the album is brilliant in their own right, which makes this one of the most dynamic and completely palpable albums in my nearly 4000 album catalog consisting of classical, opera, jazz, blues, rock, folk, bluegrass and soul. The exciting thing about this album to me, is that it could clearly be defined as the missing link, finding its home among everything else I own, across every genre, binding my collection together. Oddly, I find I've listened to this one album more than I have anything else in my collection since it was released one month ago.
Wamble and his entourage of musicians knocked it clear out of the park with this one! I encourage you to check it out, and definitely try to catch him in a live show. You won't be disappointed.
