Down by the Sea
This is a great album that is at times melancholy, at times whimsical but always evocotive of Ireland and her people. I particularly liked the title track, Down by the Sea, which I can't seem to get out of my head (not that I necessarily would want to). Ms Davis has a hauntingly beautiful voice and I look foward to hearing her next album. Go raibh maith agat!
Great Album!
Down by the Sea is a touching album. I wish I could say that I have a favorite song on this album, but in fact every song is so beautifully written that I cannot declare one lovelier than the rest. Ashley Davis is a wonderful artist who intertwines her own unique style with that of the traditional Irish sound.
