Customer Reviews
Downhere really is down here.
Downhere is one of the best names for a Christian rock band. It's not cocky, arrogant or showy. It's simply saying exactly what their music exhibits very well. They sing not as though they are speaking to a generation, but as a generation that is boldly seeking the throne and speaking directly to God Himself. Casting our cares upon Him because they realize He cares. Acknowledging that it's not always perfect "downhere" or always making sense "downhere", but still letting God know He is worthy to be praised. It's honest words coming from fellow Christians, it's real stuff that Christians experience. What more would you want from a Christian rock band? The strongest stuff on this cd would be, "Reconcile", "Great Are You", "Calmer of the Storm", "From Protest To Praise" and "So Blue". All the way through, there is just good music and a few songs that even non-Christians can relate it. Good album.
A Hidden Gem
This CD was one of the first Christian CDs I picked up and couldn't put down. And years later, I can still return to it with amazement. If nothing else, the songs "Calmer of the Storm," "So Blue," "Making Me," and "Great Are You" are must haves for any Christian music fan. Overall it is one of the best Christian CDs I've heard in years.
phenomenal sound!
"Great Are You" became my absolute favorite instantly! Simply beautiful sound & message. Great band. Excellent album. Praise God for generously gifting them musically.
