An full album worth owning...

Although I have flashes ranging from the Dismemberment Plan to Modest Mouse while listening to this album, Dr. Manhattan's complex, diverse arrangements are all anchored by urgent vocals and powerful melodies that make this record stand out as something truly unique - a rare feat in today's musical landscape. To say the previews do not do the full songs justice is an understatement. This is one of the few albums that I want to listen to, and can enjoy, from start to finish. Although standout tracks include "Big Chomper, Big Chomper," "Gunpowder: A Ballet," and "Baton Rouge," each song offers something slightly different and makes the record stronger and more cohesive as a whole. A surprisingly good album, and well worth owning in its entirety.

Needs to be Heard

Although I am a huge metal head I love an act that stands out by doing something different. By chance I went to random free show that these guys played the other night and it was by far the most enteratining and outstanding live preformance I have ever seen. This coming from a guy who has seen countless metal shows, Warped Tour vet, The Police, REM, Modest Mouse, Jethro Tull ect. The CD is like a mirror held to their live show. It sounds very much like what they pull off life. I would reccomend this album to ANYONE, it is the most fun filled and passion driven album and group I have happend uppon in a LONG time.

Dr. Man Hat Tan

Not incredible, nothing unbelievable in here, just plain old good music. They are very good at what they do and seem to do it effortlessly. The sound flows and the beats pump. Great cd. I look forward to whatever they have next in their carrers.
