Thank You Dear Landlord.
I recently heard about this band in an issue of Rock Sound in a section about bands to watch out for in 2010. I'm into punk music and it had been a while since I had heard a good new punk band so I thought I would check them out. Little did I know I was buying one of the best albums of the past year or so. This is pure punk rock, with no traces of the whiny emo that's popular today or the needlessy "rough" sound of hardcore bands trying to seem tough. This is one of the best modern punk bands and they deserve to make it big.
The way pop punk should be
I saw Paddy from D4 wearing a Dear Landlord shirt when they played in Chicago. So I checked them out and was blown away. These are songs that you play over and over because they are so well written and catchy. You have heard all of these progressions before in older punk songs that you love (NOFX, Face to Face, Lagwagon, etc.) but thats what I love about this record. So hats off to ya lads - keep up the p**s and vinegar!
