yeah man!
i heart this album! its such a great mix of ups and downs that it keeps you wanting more. lots of bands lately seem to drone through an entire album (ehem, interpol!) with one sound. not derek! he mixes things up throughout promising to never be boring. great lyrics. awesome tunes. plus, hes pretty cute. BUY THIS ALBUM!
Dust for Clues
This album is what is good in music today. One of the best albums of the year so far. It is only a matter of time until this artist blows up.
This guy is awesome!
From the name, I obviously thought this would be an electonic dance album. So of course I bought it to make fun of it. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome it is. This guy can really arrange a song (and from what I hear a get-together). I especially like 'Back to Being Mine' and 'Falling Away'. But it's all good - alpha to omega. I liked it so much I bought his first CD and was blown away by 'Lost'.
