Wow!
This man is quite a bundle of amazingness. I had the joy of hearing his hauntingly beautiful music resound on the streets of the Farmer's Market in Ballard last Sunday. His music was absolutely enchanting, I had to stop just to get my bearings several times. Once the Market started closing up, I finally got the guts to go up and purchase one of his CDs. He told me to get the "Dwelling" CD because it had a sort of Middle-Eastern twist while Ruin had a more classical bit to it. He was definitely true to his word, and his CD did not disappoint! My family has listened to him too, and they are mesmerized as well. He also mentioned he had carved his cello himself! To have met him in person affirms to me that his music not only touches others, but the whole art itself seems to move him. He is living the sweet harmony he produces in his music. It's not the normal music you hear in even the classical arena, but thats a good thing! He delivers a plethora of different stories, from joy and buoyancy to woe and devastation. They are all simply WONDERFUL arrangements and I cannot thank him enough for deciding to go for music to pay for art school! :) I give him all stars because, well, he deserves it!
New Music!
I am so excited to see Adam Hurst on iTunes! I had the pleasure of listening to him perform live while at Cinetopia and found his music to be haunting, sexy, and meditative. I have been looking forward to his new CD and it doesn't disappoint and is perfect for this time of year.
