Their debut is a great hybrid of country, rock, bluegrass, and perfect-pitched harmonies. A great debut for one of the greatest bands to come out of Los Angeles, California.
This is the 1st ablum of The Eagles
Even though the release date shows 2007, this album was the very first Eagles release. It is a fantastic album showing the versatility of the best overall band in the history of music. They can sing, write and play all the instruments (all extremely well, if not superb). Some big hits on this LP, but listen to some of the unknowns as well (Most Of Us Are Sad, Take The Devil, Earlybird). This album was classified in its day as "country-rock" but the Eagles have always been more rock than country, even though you'll hear Bernie Leadon's excellent banjo on this LP. The songs are timeless and the delivery flawless. One of my 10 favorite albums of all time.
Early Bird
Hard to believe it's been 30 plus years. I was always first up in the house (commune) and I would blast Early Bird to get everybody else up. I'm surprised Early Bird isn't the Eagles' number one all time hit. Amazing piece of work.
