Joan Osborne: not Janis, not trying to be.
I have no idea what you people are listening to, but it can't be Joan Osborne. This is some good solid s%#$. Osborne has that thing, and if you ain't got that thing...
Great!
Joan Osborne is one of the most talented female singers around. She's nobody's "wannabe". Although she can sing with qualities like Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, she's an original and she'll blow you away. Versatile with an impecible sense of timing, great blues feeling and tremendous soul she'll give you music that's authentic and you can feel it!
I love this CD!!
Joan is a fantastic live performer and this is captured on this disk. "What you gonna do" is an amazing track in terms of vocals and guitar -- solid sound experience and less produced than Relish. Enjoy!!
